A five-person Board of Directors, elected by the homeowners to two-year terms, governs the community. The Board, in turn, is supported by numerous committees staffed by resident volunteers. While other condo communities may use off-site management companies to manage their day-to-day affairs, Beaverdam Run is (and always has been) entirely self-managed. Physical work, such as building and grounds maintenance, is contracted out, with resident volunteers managing the contractors. The Board does not operate in isolation. It encourages member participation and input through regularly scheduled Board meetings, as well as town halls, a bi-monthly newsletter and other communications.
