Fall “in bloom” at Beaverdam Run
Beaverdam Run is a unique, self-managed residential community, beautifully situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. It is a condominium community by definition, but does not resemble what that term generally calls to mind. The community includes 136 homes on 115 acres of carefully planned landscaped areas and untouched mountainside meadows and forests. Stunning views can be enjoyed from many locations. Amenities include a clubhouse with gym and indoor/outdoor swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, walking trails, and a community garden.
Although located within the city limits of Asheville, Beaverdam Run is in a semi-rural area on the side of Elk Mountain in Beaverdam Valley. A 15-minute drive in one direction takes you to the vibrant and eclectic center of downtown Asheville. Head in the other direction, and in the same time you can be on the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. Less than ten minutes away are unique artists’ studios and galleries, garden centers, farmers’ markets, supermarkets, banks, restaurants, churches, and gas stations.
Beaverdam Run residents participate in a variety of sporting, recreational, and cultural activities, both within the neighborhood and in the greater community. Some of the activities organized by residents include Pickleball, water aerobics, mahjong, hiking, and yoga. Regular social activities include holiday parties, picnics, opera viewing nights, lectures, and concerts. The proximity of UNC-Asheville allows residents to take advantage of its many educational and cultural offerings.
